CTET February 2026 Answer Key Released by CBSE

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the CTET February 2026 Answer Key for the written examination held in February. Candidates can access the answer key using their Application Number and Date of Birth.

The answer-key stage provides an opportunity to review the examination responses, with a separate window scheduled for objections. Candidates should distinguish the answer-key release from the result announcement and keep the application, correction and challenge deadlines separate.

The answer-key release moves this examination cycle from the written-test stage to response review. CBSE provides access to the answer key and a facility for challenges and downloading scanned OMR images through the same portal.

The schedule treats answer-key publication, objections and results as separate events, so the release of the key should not be read as a result declaration.

How to Download the Answer Key and Access OMR Images

Candidates need their Application Number and Date of Birth to view the answer key. The access process begins on the official CTET website, where candidates must locate the CTET February Answer Key download link.

The linked portal also provides the facility to apply for a CTET challenge and download scanned OMR images, allowing candidates to use the relevant examination records during their review.

  1. Visit the official CTET website.
  2. Locate the CTET February Answer Key download link.
  3. Enter your Application Number and Date of Birth.
  4. Submit the details to view the answer key.

Candidates can also open the answer-key, challenge and scanned OMR portal directly.

Important Dates and the Objection Window

The examination schedule separates initial registration from later correction and form-completion periods. These later windows served distinct purposes and should not be treated as a single extended application period.

After the examination, the answer-key release opened a short objection window; the result date remains listed as “Notify Later.”

Online application start27 November 2025
Last date to apply online18 December 2025

The objection deadline was separate from the answer-key publication date, making the closing date the relevant limit for the scheduled challenge process. Likewise, the earlier correction and completion windows did not replace the original registration and payment deadlines.

Level-Wise Educational Eligibility

The eligibility requirements distinguish CTET Level 1 for Classes 1 to 5 from CTET Level 2 for Classes 6 to 8. Both listed routes include a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education, but their preceding academic qualifications differ.

Each route also permits candidates appearing in the final year of that diploma, rather than limiting eligibility to those who have already passed it.

LevelEducational requirement
CTET Level 1: Classes 1 to 5Senior Secondary, or its equivalent, with at least 50% marks, and passed or appearing in the final year of a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
CTET Level 2: Classes 6 to 8Bachelor’s Degree and passed or appearing in the final year of a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education.

The stated percentage requirement belongs to the Senior Secondary route for Level 1. The listed Level 2 route specifies a Bachelor’s Degree without a separate degree-percentage threshold.

Application Fees: One Paper Compared with Both Papers

The application-fee structure depends on both the applicant category and whether the candidate selected one paper or both papers. The single-paper rate applies to either Paper 1 or Paper 2, while a separate combined rate applies to both.

These amounts are application fees and should not be treated as the fee for challenging an answer-key entry.

Applicant categoryOnly Paper 1 or Paper 2Both Papers 1 & 2
Gen/OBC/EWS₹1,000₹1,200
SC/ST/PH₹500₹600

Listed Selection Stages and the Result Position

The listed selection sequence comprises the written examination, merit list and document verification. This sequence separates examination participation from the later merit and documentary stages.

The answer key supports review of the written examination; it does not itself establish a candidate’s position in the subsequent stages.

  1. Written Exam
  2. Merit List
  3. Document Verification

Candidates should therefore distinguish what the answer key shows from what a later result or merit list establishes. Reviewing responses and completing the listed selection stages are separate parts of the process.
