The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE) has announced the Himachal Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (HPTET) 2026 for various teaching posts. The online registration for HPTET will commence on 11 September 2026 and will close on 03 October 2026.

- TGT Non-Medical TET/ Special Educator TET Exam Date: 29 November 2026 (10.00 AM to 12:30 PM)
- TGT (Sanskrit) TET/ Special Educator TET Exam Date: 29 November 2026 (02:00 PM to 04:30 PM)
- TGT (Medical) TET/ Punjabi TET/ Urdu TET Exam Date: 06 December 2026 (10.00 AM to 12:30 PM)
- TGT Hindi TET Exam Date: 06 December 2026 (2.00 PM to 04:30 PM)
- Admit Card: 04 Days before the Exam

Application Fee
The application fee structure for HPTET 2026 is as follows.
- General & its Sub-Categories: ₹1200/-
- OBC/ SC/ ST/ PH: ₹700/-
- Late Fee: ₹600/-
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet the following eligibility requirements for various posts.
- JBT (Primary Teacher): 12th Class Passed And JBT/ D.El.Ed.
- TGT (Arts): Graduate/ PG Degree with 50% Marks, B.Ed./ 4-Year B.El.Ed.
- TGT (Non-Medical): B.Sc. (Non-Medical)/ M.Sc. in any Discipline with 50% Marks, B.Ed. / 4-Year B.El.Ed.
- TGT (Medical): Graduate/ PG Degree with 50% Marks, B.Ed. / 4-Year B.El.Ed.
- Special Educator TET (Pre-Primary to Class V): 12th Class Passed, D.Ed. in Special Education
- Special Educator TET (Class VI to Class XII): Bachelor’s Degree in any Stream, B.Ed. (Special Education)
- Punjabi Language Teacher: BA with Punjabi Elective Subject / MA with 50% Marks & B.Ed. / D.El.Ed.
- Urdu Language Teacher: BA with Urdu Elective Subject / MA with 50% Marks & B.Ed. / D.El.Ed.
- TGT (Sanskrit/ Hindi): Graduation/ Shastri/ PG Degree in Relevant Subject with 50% Marks & B.Ed.
